The Marketing Department has the following powers:
- Direction of the design and updating of the
Board's marketing plans, promoting the best possible return on investment
in the promotion of Mexican tourism in domestic and international markets;
- Promotion of public and private sector
participation in mechanisms of strategic planning of marketing so as to
further the Board's objectives;
- Coordination of the implementation of the
Board's public relations campaigns;
- Development and updating of strategic
guidelines
- Publication of the marketing and
implementation programs for the promotion of Mexican tourism
The marketing department
develops Mexico's
options for tourism and presents it to domestic and international demand in
each of the seven categories of the tourism product:
- Sun & Sand
- Cultural
- Nature
- Premium
- Congresses & Conventions
- Special Segments
- Recreational Tourism
The general objectives of
the department's plans are:
- Increases in tourists' spending and length
of stay
- Increases in the number of tourists who
visit us and of our participation in the world market
- Diversify the options for presentation to
potential tourists, in terms of both the activities available and the
possible destinations.
